Russ has either edited or directed more than 250 pop promos for leading record labels, directors and production companies. He’s been involved in budgeting, design, filming, telecine, grading and used nearly every style of post production technique known to man.
However, whilst editing is a major section of any promo it is often seen as the unglamourous part of the process, with lots of time spent in darkened edit suites. But Russ is happy to admit to spending hours in the dark with the likes of UB40, David Bowie, The Bangles, Tears for Fears, Morrissey, Deacon Blue and was particularly chuffed to spend sometime in the dark with Debbie Harry… editing two of her singles.
